| Since the opening of
Providence Elementary in August, 1981, our halls have seen thousands of
eager students pass along into higher education and ultimately, the
community in general. Our school is a warm, caring place where
students can feel at home, a part of the environment and an important part
of their surroundings. A good school is much more than four walls, a
blackboard and textbooks. It must be a place that invites students
to learn, to explore and to appreciate new experiences.

Providence Elementary was fortunate enough to have
the PTA donate both of the following murals to our
school. These murals were constructed during the
summer of 2004 by Matt Jackson who owns his own company
named "Dreams to Reality." While it only took him a few
weeks to construct, his attention to detail and extreme
effort to make accurate representations is amazing. Mr.
Jackson's talent is amazing, and the students have
already commented that the mural turns the cafeteria
into a rain forest. We are hoping that students will
create a stimulating environment that makes learning
more about the rain forest of great interest.
